National Army soldiers find more than 300 packages of cocaine hydrochloride in the tourist and cultural district of Cartagena de Indias.
Military Gaula units of the Second Brigade continue to conduct operations against drug trafficking.
National Army troops, through military intelligence, report the finding of 339 packages of cocaine hydrochloride, which were being transported by an individual allegedly belonging to an organized gang. It is estimated that the drug would reach US $630,000 in the illegal foreign market, so this operation means a severe financial blow to these structures that profit from drug trafficking.
At a checkpoint of the Grupo Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caribe, the group Gaula Magdalena and Grupo Gaula Elite N.掳2, on Avenida Lacrisanto Luque, this individual was arrested, who was transporting the narcotics in a vehicle.
Both the individual and the vehicle were taken to Barranquilla and put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 55 DECN (Specialized Directorate against Drug Trafficking) for prosecution, since the experts of the Criminal Section of the Atlantico Section of CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) determined that the packages contained cocaine hydrochloride.
