With Operation Artemisa soldiers of the Fifth Brigade, the Second Division of the National Army, in the framework of the celebration of World Tree Day, demonstrated their commitment to a cleaner environment. More than 83 thousand trees have been planted so far this year, at different points of the region.
Under the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, together with the territorial authorities, environmental and the private company, such as Bavaria, the Fifth Brigade was linked to the national activity #SembrarNosUne, with a formal ceremony conducted in the route changer of La Virgen, on the way Yuma – Barrancabermeja, and simultaneously in other sectors to be part of this important environmental process.
Through Operation Artemisa and the Environmental Bubble, this Unit has deployed its men not only to provide security but also, by means of operations focused on the preservation of the environment, to generate operations such as these in which the soldiers have planted hundreds of native to region trees that contribute to the generation of oxygen and a pleasant environment.
