The Colombian Navy works for the safety and well-being of the river traders of Magangué, Bolívar, and led and coordinated the State institutions and the river productive groups, with the aim of carrying out the first meeting called Let's navigate Safely on the Magdalena River.
In this meeting, topics such as river regulations, fishing regulations and the commitments that each participating institution has to carry out for safe navigation on this important and main tributary of the country were presented.
The meeting was carried out in the Cultural Center Chico Cervantes with the participation of the Municipal government, the Logistics Group of the Ministry of National Defence, the Municipal office of the national registry of civil status, the office of the Ombudsman, the people's Representative to the human rights, the National Police and the Group of Police of Environmental and Ecological Protection, the Autonomous Corporation for the south of Bolivar - CSB, the Inspector of Police, the Institute of Family Wellbeing - ICBF, the Risk Management Unit, the National Aquaculture and Fisheries Authority - AUNAP, the Magangué River Inspector and the representatives of the different productive groups of the river transport.
This important activity carried outed by theNavyInfantry River Battalion No.17, made known to productive groups river all its resources and commitments as a naval authority at the service of the inhabitants, in an effort to provide safety for navigation, generate economic and social development and well-being for the communities of this region of the country, at the same time they invited people to join the mechanisms of the civic participation network.
