With the purpose of enhancing the training of flight personnel of the Colombian Aerospace Force and sharing processes and doctrine with the Air Forces of the Dominican Republic and Chile, the Academic and Flight Instructor course was held at the facilities of the Marco Fidel Suárez Air Base, in Cali, where 12 officers completed this stage satisfactorily with honor.
During the course that lasted 98 hours, the staff of the aviation institution, accompanied by foreign personnel, received the necessary information to lead the training processes of flight personnel, contributing all their knowledge and experiences, to continue being ringleaders of the air power, as instructors, flight supervisors and instrument instructors in different aircraft.
It should be noted that this instruction was carried out through the Aeronautical Education Group of the Air Combat Command No.7, being the first course to count on the participation of two officers of the Air Forces of Chile and the Dominican Republic, Captain Rank, who will serve as helicopter instructors in their countries.
The pedagogical tools taught in the instruction, were complemented with a practice phase in the Center of Operational Excellence of the Military Aviation School Marco Fidel Suárez, learning instructional exercises in flight simulators, experiences that will be replicated to the student staff under their command, to strengthen competencies, skills, abilities and teamwork, framing all these factors in the principles and values that the institution watches over, in each of its members, for good conductance in the theater of operations.
The new academic and flight instructors return to their military units to spread this knowledge and train the flight specialty personnel, who will be in charge of putting all these learnings into practice in each of the missions that are carried out in favor of the security and sovereignty of the airspace.
