In the operation that the National Navy and the National Army conducted in the south of the country, and in order to fight the drug trafficking organizations, a decisive operation was carried out that managed to capture eight individuals and a woman, as well as the discovery of more than half a ton of marijuana, a large amount of fuel and communication equipment, in the department of Amazonas.
The result came after a ship was passing through the fluvial control checkpoint in the municipality of El Encanto, in the department of Amazonas, was inspected by men of the National Navy who, at the time of the review, found 28 bags with 438 packages, that inside contained 622 kilograms of Creepy-type marijuana, as well as 291,601 gallons of fuel and 10 cell phones.
In the same way, during the operation it was possible to capture eight individuals and a woman of Colombian nationality, who were taken on board an aircraft to the municipality of Puerto Legu铆zamo, in the department of Putumayo, where they were put into custody of the pertinent authorities, to begin their respective prosecution for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying of narcotics.
With this large amount of material, which apparently belonged to the Residual Organized armed Group 48, it was prevented that the logistics of drug trafficking received about 6,000 million Colombian pesos.
