Through this result, more than 100 thousand doses of the narcotic were prevented from circulating on the streets of the world.
Units of the Colombian Navy, during an interagency operation with the Attorney General's Office, found 47 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, which was hidden in a house in Santa Marta - Magdalena.
The Navy Infantry troops of the Naval Institution, in coordination with officials of the Technical Research Corps – CTI, made effective a search warrant for a building, in which the drug was discovered, inside a torpedo-type metal structure, similar to those used by criminal organizations in the service of drug trafficking to contaminate maritime transport cargo ships, which sail to different parts of the world. In the operation, an individual was arrested, who apparently would be in charge of guarding the illegal merchandise
At the end of the search procedure, the arrested individual and the material were taken to a safe place where CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, which left positive result for cocaine hydrochloride. Subsequently, the personnel and material were put into custody of the authority. It is estimated that this illegal merchandise would have a cost of more than 1.5 million dollars in the international illegal market.
