After dismantling a laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride and continuing military search operations on the area, it was destroyed by the National Army in the rural area of the municipality of Maní, Casanare, an illegal hiding place where more precursors for the production of that narcotic were hidden.
Continuing to conduct the military operations in the fight against different crimes, especially drug trafficking, in a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional way, troops of the National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force, with the support of the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, was found by troops in a rural area of the municipalities of Maní and Orocué, Casanare, an illegal hiding place that would be the place where more supplies for the cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory that was dismantled in the in recent hours by the National army were hidden.
At the scene, soldiers of the Ramón Nonato Pérez Infantry Battalion, of the Sixteenth Brigade of the National Army, found 32 barrels containing 1550 gallons of acetone, and 10 empty barrels. The hideout was hidden in a wooded area and was found approximately 3 kilometers of the previously dismantled cocaine hydrochloride laboratory. This hideout would in the same way belong to the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The items were put into custody of the authority for the prosecution process.
