Tumaco, Nariño, October 15, 2021. In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, in a military operation conducted by the National Army, in coordination with the National Police and inter-institutional with the Attorney General's Office, troops managed to find and destroy an illegal laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride in the district Las Vegas, in Tumaco, department of Nariño
Using Military Intelligence of the Anti-Drug Battalion N°4, troops of the rapid deployment battalion N°5 and the National Police's anti - narcotics directorate, it was possible to find this laboratory. Two constructions belonging to the GAOr-Oliver Sinisterra were dismantled at the site, where the different phases of the production of coca base paste, and the crystallization of cocaine hydrochloride, as well as its pressing and packaging, were conducted.
Within this complex, were found by troops 297 kilograms of coca-based paste, 98 kilograms caustic soda, 108 Gallons hydrochloric acid, 364 Gallons of DIESEL, 01 Dredge, 01 Martian, 01 Drying table, 04 Motor Pumps, 08 Microwave ovens and 01 Compressor.
With this result the finances of this criminal organization will be hit by more than $525,000,000 COP and it should be noted that this structure is responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking.
The Joint Task Force of Consolidation and Stabilization Hercules once again demonstrates the commitment to ensure the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants of the pacific region in Nariño, working together with different institutions, in order to weaken Organized Armed Groups who commit crimes in the south of the country.
