The Colombian Navy in the framework of joint operations with the Colombian Aerospace Force and combined with the Anti-Drug Directorate of Peru (DIRANDRO Peru), discovered about 500 kilograms of marijuana in Santa Rosa - Peru, border area with Colombia.
As a result of the integration of information and differential Resources of the Amazon Coast Guard Group, units of the Anti–Drug Directorate of Peru found abandoned on the banks of the Amazon River 16sacks containing inside 445 rectangular packages that by their characteristics of color, smell and texture resembled marijuana, being submitted to the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, leaving positive result for 470 kilograms of creepy type marijuana.
With this decisive blow against transnational drug trafficking organizations, about three million dollars are prevented from entering the gangs, resulting from the distribution of more than 78,000 doses of the drug, reducing their capacity to harm the inhabitants who live in the area of the triple border with Peru and Brazil. The material found was given to the authorities of the neighboring country.
