After 4 years, the F-AIR COLOMBIA 2023 returned at the José María Córdova airport in Rionegro-Antioquia.
The opening ceremony started by the air shows of the Colombian Air Force and the escudrilla Fumaça of the Brazilian Air Force.
The Eleventh International Aeronautical and Space Fair F-AIR Colombia 2023 took off with great success in Rionegro - Antioquia.
The President of the Republic Gustavo Petro Urrego highlighted this space as “an excellent platform for the air industry of the country and the region.” The Colombian president in the same way assured that Colombia is ready to participate in the production of the aeronautical industry through an agreement with Airbus.
For his part, the Brazilian Ambassador to Colombia, Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, expressed his gratitude to Colombia for having chosen his country as the guest of honor to this exposition of the aeronautical industry and the most impressive aerobatic teams in the world: the Fumaça squadron of the Brazilian Air Force.
The show began with the presentation of the Arpía 51 acrobatic team of the Colombian Air Force, who demonstrated incredible dexterity, precision and synchronization that impressed the attendees.
With their maneuvers, the black hawk UH60 pilots took the breath away of the more than 900 people who witnessed the demonstration of the so-called the brave hawks.
For its part, the Fumaça squadron, with 7 A29 Super Tucano aircraft, conducted extremely risky and majestic maneuvers in the skies of eastern Antioquia, for which they have earned the Guinness world record in the inverted training modality. The squad made what is called lupis, mirror formation and drew outstanding figures.
Both shows, with their symmetry, evidenced the requirement of the intense training of the pilots that train them to be prepared for any combat situation.
The F-AIR 2023 that will go until Sunday, July 16, will have 150 exhibitors of the United States, Canada, Sweden, Spain, France, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Israel and Italy, and the Colombian airline industry.
Since Thursday, July 13, the academic agenda has focused on unmanned aircraft, sustainable fuels, innovation in industry, artificial intelligence, among other topics of interest to the specialized public of the aerospace sector.
