Through heavy military operations the National Army manages to once again hit the illegal activities of this criminal group.
Through operations framed in the Bicentenary Campaign plan “Heroes of Freedom”, troops of the Vulcano Task Force, of the Second Division of the National Army, achieved in rural areas of the municipalities of El Carmen and Sardinata, the dismantling of two laboratories of coca base paste belonging to the GAO- Eln, (Organized Armed Group), front 'Juan Fernando Porras Martínez' and 'Francisco Bossio' company.
In the first operation carried out in the Cartagena village, municipality of Sardinata, military of the Ground Operations Battalion No.9, found a drug laboratory, in which members of the company 'Francisco Bossio', stored 1,700 gallons of coca base in process, 200 kilos of cement, 175 gallons of gasoline and 40 metal barrels. The Illegal complex would cost approximately 710 million pesos.
In other operations, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.10, found in the village El Eden, municipality of Carmen, the second laboratory made of four structures. In the place troops found 264 liters of sulfuric acid, 25 kilograms of caustic soda, three rudimentary distillers, ‘Marcianos’, two motor pumps, three presses, and 31 plastic barrels.
