In simultaneous operations in three departments of the country (Vichada, Meta and the city of Bogotá), it was possible to capture Jacinto Samaniego Mosquera, alias “El Indio”, leader of the drug trafficking component of the organized criminality group - GDO (in Spanish) Los Puntilleros - "Libertadores del Vichada" and 10 other members of the gang, who were perpetrating the trafficking of narcotics and extortion of money in the east of the country.
This joint operation conducted by the Ares Task Force of the Colombian Air Force and the DIJIN of the National Police, in the same way counted on the support and the participation of the Eastern Air Group, the Army, the National Navy and the Prosecutor's Office, which in an coordinated way, planned, executed and consolidated the operations to find and capture these criminals, who are already detained in a prison in Villavicencio.
Alias El Indio, would have assumed this position after the capture in 2018 of alias “Danielito”. With this result, this criminal structure is heavily hit, destabilizing the line of command of the main narcotics trafficking links in the border area and hitting its finances by nearly 3,200 million pesos, represented in the discovery of real estate and several belongings, as well as their income, which could rise up to 300 million pesos a month.
Along with alias “El Indio,” the head of the urban front Wilson Villalba Cuellar, alias “Perra Vaya” and another individual identified as Hernán Cedeño Martínez, were captured. They were responsible for providing security to the clandestine airfields of the border area for the narcotics trafficking airplanes.
Conspiracy to commit a crime, forced displacement, manufacture and carrying of weapons and narcotics trafficking, among others, are some of the crimes these individuals are accused of.
