So far this year, eight drug trafficking structures have been dismantled, two of those destructions were possible in recent weeks in the Colombian Caribbean.
384 people linked to the crime of drug trafficking have been arrested, of which 57 are members of these illegal organizations.
The implementation of the Red Naval Plus strategy in coordination with the Attorney General's Office has resulted in comprehensive losses against drug trafficking, especially organizations that have links with international Cartels.
These operations have led to losses through the entire drug trafficking production chain.
A new blow against drug trafficking groups was dealt by the authorities in recent weeks in the departments of Atl谩ntico, Bol铆var, Cundinamarca, La Guajira and Magdalena with the arrest of 23 members of two structures serving drug trafficking, thus dismantling them.
The first operation was carried out in different Colombian cities, with the arrest of 17 alleged members of a structure serving drug trafficking that commits crimes in the department of La Guajira. This effective operation was carried out in a coordinated and joint manner by units of the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, with the support of the National Army, conducting a direct and simultaneous operation in compliance with arrest orders in Maicao, Riohacha and Uribia in La Guajira, and in the city of Bogot谩.
The dismantled organization would have specialized in the transportation, security and collection of illicit substances in the east of the Alta Guajira region, through the adaptation of speedboats for the shipment of narcotics, bound for the Caribbean Islands, Central America and Europe, taking advantage of the geographical environment of the Alta Guajira and the use of Wayuu indigenous communities for criminal purposes. Those arrested and the material found during the operation (four firearms, 03 magazines and 20 cartridges), were put into custody for prosecution for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and/or carrying narcotics.
