In a joint operation with the Colombian Air Force, Coast Guard Units of the Colombian Navy and troops of Colombian National Army, an illegal cargo of cocaine and marijuana was found, which was being transported on board a Go Fast type boat, approximately 16 nautical miles from Cabo de la Vela, in the department of La Guajira.
The permanent air and maritime control tasks in this region of Colombia, led to the detection of a suspicious boat sailing at high speed northwest of Cabo de la Vela, which was manned by two individuals of Dominican nationality, who were transporting 12 sacks with 400 rectangular packages inside.
Once the interception of the boat was carried out, it was transported together with the arrested personnel and the cargo found to a safe port, where officials of the Technical Investigation Corps – CTI of the Attorney General's Office conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, which left positive result for 367 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 14 of marijuana. The two men who were manning the boat were put into custody of the authority.
