In a continuous commitment to the well-being and development of communities in the department of Tolima, the Commander of the Air Combat Command No. 4 (CACOM-4) of the Colombian Aerospace Force, met with the director of the Melgar CAFAM Recreational Center, with the purpose of generating strategic alliances to contribute resources, visibility and recognition, to the brands Esperanza and Paz marcas and AVANZA, which are part of the productive project Strengthening for PEACE.
The initiative promotes the circular economy by transforming reusable fabrics and supplies into items such as backpacks and clothing. It in the same way promotes the production of artisanal coffee. These products are subsequently marketed, becoming the main source of income for hundreds of peace signers and their families.
The project, which is in the same way environmentally friendly, since it reuses materials, provides economic opportunities to vulnerable communities, helping them to build a more sustainable and prosperous future, which represents an important step towards creating both a positive and lasting impact in the region.
On the other hand, the Comprehensive operation Section of CACOM-4, made a valuable donation of school kits to the Los Alpes Environmental Technical School, in Villarrica, Tolima, the main objective of the activity was to strengthen the indispensable tools for the educational processes of the institution.
These operations reflect the constant commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force, not only in the defense and security of the country, but in the same way in supporting both social and economic development of communities, strengthening the social fabric and contributing to the well-being of Colombians.
