The advanced Combat Course, in addition to be the first level of military training for the Cadets and Dragoneantes of the National Army, was in the same way an opportunity for the Cadets of the Military Academy ‘Battle of the Careers’ of the Army of the Dominican Republic.
These 53 cadets arrived at the Military Fort of Tolemaida on October 7 full of expectations to begin at the School of Tactical Training and recurrent Training, ESERT, the Advanced Combat Course No.431 International, under Colombian military doctrine, receiving for seven weeks the most complete instruction and training by the staff of qualified instructors of the unit, on technical, tactical, humanistic and physical areas to potentiate basic knowledge and thus prepare the Officers and NCO of the future in irregular combat.
Brigadier General Raúl Hernando Flórez Cuervo, commander of CENAE, gave a special recognition to the first place of the course: the combatant, Pablo Ángel Acosta Díaz, followed by Cadet José Rudy Rodríguez Gil, who obtained the recognition of Combatant Spirit; the prize for the best classmate went to the combatant Yamilex Mariales veras Abreu.
In the same way, the commitment, dedication, and professionalism of Captain Carlos Andrés Figueroa España, Sergeant Edwin Páramo and Soldier José Guillermo Riaño Mendoza, ESERT instructors, were highlighted.
"To the School of Tactical Training and Recurrent training, is a pride to ensure that these new combatants graduate by complying with all the standards under the parameters of safety, training and bravery so that discipline, spirit and combat capability with excellence were fulfilled. In this way the bonds of partnership and binational efforts conducted by Colombia and the Dominican Republic are strengthened,” added Lt. Col. Alexander Amado Pinzón, director of the School of Training and Tactical Recurrent training, during his protocol greeting.
