These laboratories were found by the troops in the village Vetas Central, and would belong to the organized armed group, GAO, ELN.
In an inter-agency operation with the Office of the attorney general, and coordinated with the National Police, soldiers of the National Army struck drug trafficking chains by dismantling two illegal laboratories capable of producing about one and a half tons of cocaine per month.
The operation was reported in a rural area of the municipality of Tib煤, Norte de Santander, where the Military Forces have managed to hit the drug trafficking chain that finances illegal groups that commit crimes in this territory.
On the Vetas Central Village, the troops found the first laboratory containing 843 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, precursors, a large amount of machinery and elements used to obtain the hallucinogenic substance.
In the same sector, the second laboratory was dismantled, containing 597 kilograms of coca-based paste ready to be processed and converted into cocaine.
With the dismantling of these laboratories and the finding of the 1,440 kilograms of hallucinogenic substances, the Military Forces hit hard the finances of the Luis Enrique Le贸n Guerra front, of the organized armed group, GAO, ELN, at a cost of more than 6,300 million pesos.
This year, in Norte de Santander, troops have dismantled 474 laboratories for coca paste and 31 for cocaine hydrochloride, confirming that the soldiers of the National Army will continue to carry out operations to decisively and permanently hit the drug trafficking chains.
