The illegal hideout, found in the rural area of the village of El Morro, municipality of Yopal, Casanare, hid ammunition of various calibers, explosives and flags alluding to the GAO ELN, which would be used to carry out political proselytism in this region, as well as attacks against the lives of soldiers and civilians.
Troops of the Infantry Battalion No.44 Ramón Nonato Pérez, of the Sixteenth Brigade of the National Army, in an operation coordinated with the National Police, and interagency with the Attorney General's Office, and thanks to information from military intelligence, report in the last few hours, the finding and dismantling of an illegal hiding place that was hiding in a wooded area in the rural area of the village El Morro of the municipality of Yopal, Casanare.
This hiding place, apparently belonging to the Organized Armed Group ELN José David Suárez Front of the Eastern War Front, hid, buried in plastic bags, 288 units of ammunition of various calibers, two launching pads, one kilogram of indugel (explosive), and two red and black flags alluding to the ELN, material that would be used by that armed group to carry out political proselytism, sowing terror in the inhabitants of Casanare and Boyacá. Similarly, the explosive material would be used to attack soldiers, as well as civilians, so with this result it was possible to neutralize a possible terrorist operation, thus raising the living conditions of the inhabitants of the region.
