Five members of the group were captured after committing a robbery at a major chain store in the municipality La Mesa.
Troops of the Airborne Infantry Battalion no.28 Colombia, in support of the municipal security program and in coordination with the National Police, dismantled the Organized Gang, GDO, known as Los Lisos, which apparently traveled continuously from Bogotá to the municipality La Mesa, Cundinamarca, where they carried out their criminal operations.
The events were reported in the Guayabal village, sector Dos Caminos, where the authorities intercepted the vehicle, in which the members of the group were traveling; moments before they had committed a theft in a recognized establishment in a commercial center of the municipality La Mesa. The alleged criminals had stolen a computer with personal data of the users of the establishment, which they allegedly intended to use later to extract information in order to make extortion calls.
During the procedure, a CPU valued at approximately 4,500,000 pesos was recovered and a vehicle was immobilized, which along with those captured was put into custody of the authorities.
The National Army through the Thirteenth Brigade reiterates its commitment to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of Cundinamarca and continue to work hand in hand with the municipal administrations.
