Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan and following the guidelines of the National Government, it was possible to decisively attack the illicit activities of Organized Armed Groups and transnational organized criminals.
In an operation against drug trafficking, the Military Forces, with the support of the Attorney General's Office, in the municipality of Vacarí, Norte de Santander department, found a laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride.
The place, found by troops of the National Army and the Prosecutor's Office, was in a mountainous part, where approximately 1,750 kilograms of solid precursors, 1,000 kilograms of cement, 8,416 gallons of liquid precursors, as well as material for the production of this illicit drug were found by troops.
The urgent and judicial acts were carried out by agents of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, who, through technical tasks, were working through the transparent process of the military operation.
Finally, this military operation significantly hit the finances of the criminal structures at the service of the drug trafficking cartels, this time for approximately more than $41 billion pesos, in the same way, this leads to continue showing the resources and commitment that State institutions have to continue attacking all the phenomena of criminality that put the stability of the Colombian people at risk.
