Buenaventura is preparing to receive the tourists who will arrive for the Easter season. For this reason, the General Maritime Directorate (Dimar), through the Buenaventura Port Authority, is carrying out controls and operational inspections of the ships that will provide their services in order to work for a peaceful stay and prevent situations that may put human life at risk in the sea.
These inspections aim to verify the documentation of the boats that will be at the service of tourists, as well as their good condition, the optimal functioning of the communication equipment and the safety elements such as life jackets, among others.
In the same way, officials of the Port Authority remind the motorist productive groups about the security measures that must be taken into account when carrying out their activities to work for the safe transportation of passengers along the Colombian Pacific Coast.
On the other hand, visits have been made to the different beaches, in order to strengthen sustainable development through the cleaning of the sand, the implementation of biosafety protocols and raising awareness about the responsible use of the natural resources of navy-coastal areas.
With these operations, the Maritime Authority ratifies its commitment to welcoming the holiday season in Buenaventura, which aims to welcome tourists who wish to visit the Colombian Pacific; additionally, it reminds that there will be officials at the authorized sites for the departure and arrival of the boats, and on the beaches , in order to accompany the safe development of the season.
