The Development Support Activity led by the Colombian Navy was carried out, through the Navy Infantry Brigade No. 2 and with the support of the National Army thanks to the Ground Combat Battalion No. 26. This activity is addressed to all the people of Munguidó and the nearby inhabitants of Copomá, Pangala, Porchía, Taparel and Palestina among others, on the banks of the San Juan River in the Department of Chocó.
During this activity it was possible to benefit approximately 1,200 people, with the decisive contribution of the Command of Support to the Mission of the Pacific and its Professional Officers of the Reserve of the Naval Reserve, were health services such as general Medicine, Gynecology, Optometry, Dentistry, Psychology, Osteopathy, dermatology, speech pathologist, Nutrition, Pediatrics, among others. It in the same way had the support of different institutions such as the Misión País Foundation, Colombia Solidaria Foundation, Santa Alianza Foundation.
Once more our Professional Officers of the reserve reaffirm their commitment to the most vulnerable communities participating in different activities, demonstrating the importance of the inter-agency coordination, in particular in areas so far from urban centers, and they took several activities to river communities of Buenaventura, in Valle del Cauca and Istmina, in the Department of Chocó.
The people and the Military Forces enjoyed leisure activities, cultural, and recreational, with messages of joy and valuable lessons especially for children, young people and adolescents, while contributing to the security of all the people, expressing their support and appreciation to the thousands of military men and women who go out every day to work with commitment, to lost their lives, if necessary, to protect the life, honor and property of Colombians.
