The Colombian Navy carried out a Development Support Activity, in which 952 people were benefited with free health and recreation services in the municipality of Guapi, department of Cauca.
During the activity, the services of general medicine, dentistry, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, psychology, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology and medications distribution were provided. In the same way, nine tons in donations, groceries, presents for children, clothing were distributed, and recreational activities took place; 1,644 services were provided.
For this activity, the participation of the Embassy of the United States in Colombia and the Pacific Mission Support Command and different institutions such as the Government of the Department of Choc贸, Municipal Mayor of Litoral San Juan, Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing - ICBF, was necessary, as well as the participation of the Fundaci贸n 脕ngeles por Colombia, Diocesan Food Bank of Buenaventura, Re-Vida Foundation, Abrazos del Alma Foundation, Colombia Solidaria Foundation, Minute of Dios Organization Corporation, El Ni帽o Dios Foundation, Conacce Chaplains Foundation, Lifeguard Foundation for Colombia, Institute for the Blind and Deaf, Lions Club of Buenaventura, Alianza solidaria Foundation and Doctor Andr茅s Bedolla Volunteers.
In the same way, during the activity more than 50 people, both civilians and military, arrived in the Isla Mono on the San Juan River, the municipality of the Coast of San Juan - department of Choc贸, where the communities of Isla Mono, Buenavista, Garc铆a G贸mez, Isla Bello and Puerto Espa帽a participated in the activity.
