The Military Forces together with the regional authorities, for a safe democracy, carried out permanent control and surveillance operations in the departments of Arauca, Boyac谩 and Casanare, with the purpose of working to ensure the security of Colombians during the electoral activity.
The Colombian Air Force, of the Casanare Air Group, GACAS, had all the operational and logistical equipment, to carry out reconnaissance missions in real time, over the polling stations, strategic points and main access roads of the ABC, monitoring of the Unified Command post (PMU), before during and after the elections.
Thus, this year in the Democracy Plan, more than 40 flight hours were carried out of the GACAS in aircraft, helicopter and remotely manned aircraft, as well as loudspeaker missions and checkpoints, with the purpose of carrying out constant accompaniment to civilians in exercising their right to vote.
