Explosive devices and war material that would belong to the GAO-r E1, were found by troops in an illegal hiding place in the hamlet Chupave, municipality of Cumaribo - Vichada.
In the same sector, it was possible to find two constructions used for the production of coca base paste.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan and within the framework of joint military operations conducted by the Eastern Naval Force of the Colombian Navy, the Eighth Division of the National Army and the Eastern Air Group of the Air Force, it was possible to find and destroy an illegal weapons hideout and two constructions used for the production of coca base paste, in the hamlet Chupave, municipality of Cumaribo - Vichada.
One rifle, 22 hand grenades, six mortar rounds, six Anti-Personnel Mines - MAP, six Improvised Explosive Devices - AEI, one kilogram of black powder, two anti-tank rocket launchers, and 128 magazines for long and short weapons were found by troops in the illegal hideout.
According to military intelligence information, this material belonged to the Residual Organized Armed Group Structura Primera, of the Santiago Lozada Group, and would be used to attack the good physical condition of civilians and military personnel, as well as the navigability of the different rivers of Eastern Colombia.
The two constructions, on the other hand, contained abundant liquid and solid precursors inside, as well as machinery used for the production of coca base paste, the main precursor for the crystallization of cocaine hydrochloride.
Both the explosives and the two structures were destroyed by personnel of the Explosives and Demolitions Team - EXDE, while the weaponry was handed over to the authorities.
With these overwhelming results, the military forces are hitting the finances of the drug trafficking organizations and, in addition, thwarting the criminal operations of the criminal groups that intend to hit the stability and tranquility of the region.
