This result contributes to the defense of the inhabitants of Santa Rosa de la Guayacana, whose some of its leaders have protective measures.
The Colombian Navy, in compliance with the mission for the protection of the inhabitants, with special assistance to the precautionary measures and early warnings existing on the Calima River basin, carried out an operation in this rural area of Buenaventura, where two individuals belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo died in the framework of military operations.
This result was given due to the fighting enraged by troops of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2 with members of the Valle substructure of this criminal organization, in the Calima River, where three rifles, 1,223 cartridges and four units of campaign equipment were in the same way found.
As a result of the clashes, a man of the Naval Institution was injured with a rifle shot, for which he was taken to a hospital in the Special District of Buenaventura, where he receives specialized medical assistance and is out of danger.
Judicial Police personnel carried out the removal of the bodies, which were transported to Buenaventura, for the respective identification procedure by the authorities.
The Organized Armed Group is responsible for disturbing the tranquility of the inhabitants of Bajo Calima and surrounding areas, forcing them to move, extort the money of farm owners and merchants, and harm the inhabitants in the dispute over control of the drug trafficking route.
