During the military operation, one member was neutralized and five more were captured.
The Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force Hercules, within the framework of the Military and Police Campaign Atlas, achieved the neutralization of an individual known by the alias of Enano, and the capture of five more individuals.
The operation was carried out within the framework of the Plan Tumaco Seguro (Secure Tumaco Plan), which seeks to reduce crime rates in this municipality. While the troops were conducting an operation, they became aware of the presence of several suspicious individuals. Those suspicions individuals shot the military personnel, who immediately reacted in legitimate defense, wounding one of the individuals, who was carrying a pistol. He was transferred to a health center, but died due to the severity of the injuries. Another five people were captured, apparently all of them were part of the residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Bloque Occidental Alfonso Cano.
In the military operation, 39 kilos of marijuana, six pistols, a revolver, nine magazines, 263 nine-millimeter projectiles, 31 5.56-millimeter projectiles, six 38-caliber projectiles, three boats and a cell phone were seized.
With this important result, the Joint Task Force Hercules reduces crime rates and selective homicides in this region of the country, continuing with the military operations that directly attack these residual Organized Armed Groups, until achieving the stabilization and consolidation of the Pacific coast of Nariño.
