The operation by the Military Forces against residual organized armed groups (GAO-r) does not stop. The neutralization of one of these members and the capture of two more individuals were achieved.
The Joint stabilization and consolidation Task Force Hercules with its National Army component, in compliance with the Bicentenary plan Héroes de la Libertad, achieved the death in development of military operations of alias Valle and the capture of alias Bombillo and alias Tejada, in La Florida village of the municipality of Barbacoas, Nariño.
The soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2 received information about the activity of these individuals in the sector. Immediately they launched the search operation, engaging a combat encounter with the individuals, killing alias Valle, who would be the ringleader of a group of the GAO-r Los Contadores and had an arrest warrant for the crime of association to commit crimes aggravated. In the same way two other individuals of this criminal structure were captured, both for the crime of homicide. In the action troops found three short weapons, magazines and ammunition.
With this important military operation, the command and control subsystem of this structure is significantly hit and the illicit economy of drug trafficking is weakened.
The Hercules Joint Task Force continues to reduce the crime rate, weakening these organized armed groups until the Pacific coast of Nariño is stabilized.
