Troops of the Third Brigade of the National Army, within the framework of the Ayacucho Operation, arrested in flagrante delicto the individual known as Dúver or Negro, accused of being the ringleader of the support networks of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Jaime Martínez, in the village El Queremal, Dagua.
Alias Dúver, 36 years old and with more than four years in the structure, would have participated in criminal operations against the troops of the National Army in the sectors of Río Blanco, El Placer and El Engaño, in Dagua, as well as being in charge of criminal control, coordinating intelligence activities and selective homicides in the area. With this arrest, the criminal capacity of this GAO-r in the western municipalities of the department is reduced.
At the time of his arrest, more than 900 grams of pentolite, 5 electric detonators, communications material and documentation of the Jaime Martínez residual GAO were found by troops.
This arrested man was put into custody of the authorities and will have to face charges of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, ammunition or explosives for the exclusive use of the Military Forces.
