The government of the United States will make a donation of biomedical equipment to the Luis Ablanque de la Plata Hospital, and will provide desks and educational elements for seven public schools in that municipality of the Valle del Cauca Pacific region.
With the aim of bringing well-being and social development to Colombians, and seeking to meet the needs of civilians, the General Command of the Military Forces, the Bravo Joint Task Force (JFT-B) of the United States and the Ministry of Health of Buenaventura, from today, will carry out a medical and surgical assistance activity at the facilities of the Luis Ablanque de la Plata Hospital, in that municipality.
This humanitarian operation will be carried out until September 20, during these days the inhabitants of Buenaventura will have the opportunity to participate in the Continuing Promise 2023 initiative, with a series of medical and community activities for the benefit of all the inhabitants.
The efforts of the doctors, nurses, military personnel and volunteers who will participate in the mission will be focused on providing support to an estimated 1,500 people, who will receive assessments in different areas of health that will improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities in this region of the country.
In addition, about 15 surgeries will be conducted on patients who were selected in coordination with the Ministry of Health of Buenaventura and the Colombian Military Forces.
In this way, Colombia and the United States continue to strengthen their commitment to the well-being of all inhabitants, while strengthening binational cooperation ties to promote stability, progress and prosperity in the region.
