The value of the substance, is close to 15 million euros in the international black market. Operations that are carried out by the Colombian Navy against the transnational organizations of drug trafficking in the Colombian Caribbean, led to the discovery of 426.9 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, transported on board a merchant ship, in the Gulf of Urab谩.
The result occurred during the inspection carried out by the Urab谩 Coast Guard Station, in the cargo area, in the sector of Bah铆a Colombia, in Turbo, in the department of Antioquia, to the Portuguese merchant ship 'Bomar Caen', finding hidden in a container, 17 suitcases that contained 428 packages of illegal substances.
The alkaloid was taken to the Coast Guard Station in Urab谩, where the judicial authorities carried out the Preliminary Initial Test, giving positive result for 426.9 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The ship came from Costa Rica and apparently had Italy as final destination, where the alkaloid would be commercialized in the European market. It is estimated that the value of this shipment of narcotics, in the international black market, is close to 15 million Euros, a figure that thanks to this successful operation, will not enter the finances of the illegal groups.
