114 Colombians will return to Colombia from Lebanon on board a Boeing 737 of the Colombian Air Force (FAC), the flight will depart on September 28, 2024 of the Military Air Transport Command (CATAM) in Bogot谩, bound for Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport.
Thanks to the coordination conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management and the Colombian Embassy in Lebanon, this intercontinental humanitarian mission has been deployed, with the necessary authorizations to overflight in various countries.
The aircraft will land in the Lebanese capital city and pick up compatriots who are in a risk area and wish to return to Colombia; on the way back there will be technical stops in Portugal and the Dominican Republic. His return to the Colombian capital is scheduled for early next Tuesday.
For this mission, which seeks the evacuation of Colombians from a conflict zone on another continent, expert personnel have been arranged, double crews, carrying humanitarian aid on board and where it has as an alternative aircraft, the Boeing 767.
This operation reflects the capacity and global reach of the Colombian Air Force for the safety and well-being of its citizens, working to increase their protection anywhere in the world.
