The General Commander of the Navy of Ecuador, Rear Admiral Luis Brumel Vásquez Bermúdez, accompanied by a delegation from that country, visited the Almirante Padilla Naval Cadet School on Monday.
Accompanied by rear admiral Javier Alfonso Jaimes Pinilla, Director of the Naval School, Rear Admiral Vasquez toured the facilities of this alma mater and knew first-hand the Resources simulation Center of Research, Development and Innovation of Maritime Activities (CIDIAM), a tool that strengthens the processes of instruction and research contributing to the Naval and Maritime Power of the Nation.
“The purpose of this visit was to present the Resources available in this alma mater, seeking to establish meeting points for future cooperation projects in terms of science, technology and innovation. It should be noted that at this time we have on board three Ecuadorian officers, one as an instructor to our student staff and the other two take classes in the master of oceanography and administration,” said Rear Admiral Javier Jaimes.
This activity contributes to the international visibility of the Almirante Padilla Naval Cadet School, strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
