Always looking after the wellbeing of the inhabitants of the Pacific in Nariño, units of the colombian Navy carried out the distribution of humanitarian aid to a family living in vulnerable conditions, in the rural area of the municipality of Olaya Herrera, Nariño.
Troops of the River Battalion of Navy Infantry No. 41, attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No. 4, who are carrying out eradication work on illicit plantations in Pambil village, heard the story of a mother and her eight-year-old daughter, who were going through a difficult situation at home because they did not have the resources to obtain food and daily sustenance.
Moved by the situation and motivated by the desire to serve the colombians who need it most, the Marines initiated coordination procedures in Tumaco, which allowed them to collect humanitarian aid, mainly food and clothing for this family.
In a Grupo Aeronaval del Pacífico (Pacific Air-Sea Group) helicopter, the aid was transported from Tumaco to the village of Pambil, Olaya Herrera, where, surprisingly, it was given to this mother, head of the household, and her little daughter, who with a big smile thanked the crew of the No. 1 Marine River Battalion No. 41 for this humanitarian gesture.
