This year, the Colombian Navy has found more than 311 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, of which 160 have been in the Colombian Pacific.
In security operations for international trade in the Colombian Pacific, the Colombian Navy, in coordination with the National Police and port authorities, was able to find 1,298 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride that were hidden in a container, ready to be sent to Central America, through the Cartagena maritime route, whose final destination was Europe.
In the early hours of the morning, the authorities conducted the search of a container possibly contaminated with cocaine. At the time of the inspection, 20 bags with 1,100 pressed rectangular packages were found by troops, similar to those used by drug trafficking organizations to send narcotic substances abroad.
Once the Preliminary Identification Test was done by the Judicial Police, the substance found in the packages tested positive for cocaine hydrochloride.
With the finding of this shipment, the Colombian Navy prevented the circulation and consumption of more than three million doses of cocaine internationally.
