A new blow to the finances of transnational criminal organizations was dealt by Colombian Navy units in the Colombian Pacific, with the detection of a Go Fast ship loaded with 1,136 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The continuous sea safety and control operations carried out in the Pacific by units of the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station led to the detection of this ship that was 13 nautical miles of the Buenaventura sea buoy.
During the inspection of the boat, manned by three individuals of Colombian nationality, troops found bags of different sizes, with packaging characteristics similar to those used by criminal groups, for the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances. In the same way, several barrels were found by troops with fuel and 2,204,000 COP in cash.
The bags, the fuel and the three individuals were taken to Buenaventura, where members of the technical investigation Corps of the prosecutor's Office, conducted the tests of homologated preliminary identification (PIPH) to the substances found, leaving positive for 1.136 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The material and those captured were put into custody of the authorities.
It is estimated that the approximate value of this shipment of cocaine in the illegal market abroad would be more than 42 million dollars, a figure that failed to enter the Transnational Organized Crime Groups.
