In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the Anti-Narcotics Police of the Santa Marta Port Society, it was possible to find 241 kilograms of cocaine.
Thanks to intelligence of the Colombian Navy, it was possible to identify three containers that were allegedly contaminated with illicit substances. Crew members of the Santa Marta Primary Coast Guard Station and Anti-Narcotics Police arrived at the Port to inspect the identified containers, finding inside one of them 241 rectangular packages hidden in boxes of agricultural products.
After conducting the Initial Preliminary Test it was determined that the illegal cargo was made up of 241 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. With this finding the financial structure of this drug trafficking organization would be hit, since the drug would be transported to Antwerp Belgium, where it would cost 14.4 million dollars in the illegal European market.
