Units of the Colombian Navy carried out the evacuation of a minor belonging to the indigenous people of the Tikuna ethnic group, who had suffered injuries on one of her arms during the conductance of activities typical of the country areas in Leticia, Amazonas.
The people informed the Amazon Coast Guard Group of the situation which immediately proceeded to carry out the humanitarian assistance operation by deploying a rapid reaction unit that was carrying out patrol and control work in the area, approximately 25 kilometers from the Amazon River to carry out the reception of the minor with her mother. During the travel to the main pier of Leticia, military personnel provided first aid.
The minor was received by a medical team of the Municipal Hospital, who proceeded to transfer her to the care center to receive specialized care.
