After the displacement of the indigenous communities El Brazo, Posamanza, Boroboro and Bacurrú Purrú, in the municipality of Bahía Solano, in the department of Chocó, troops of the Colombian Navy reinforced patrols in the area.
The troops of the Navy Battalion No. 23, attached to the Navy Brigade No. 2 of the Pacific Naval Force, arrived in helicopters to carry out military operations to counter Organized Armed Groups, preventing them from frighten the inhabitants of these municipalities.
This Sunday aboard air units of the Pacific Naval Force arrived in the area a group of the Municipal Mayor and municipal authorities, to verify the work of the troops, which will guarantee the security conditions so families will be able to return to their territories. The families that were displaced moved to Valle sector where they are being assisted by local authorities.
