Troops of navy arrested six members of Organised Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, found 6,000 gallons of liquid precursors, 47,000 kilograms of solid precursors, more than 52 kilograms of marijuana, 58 kilograms of explosives, 73.000 gallons of fuel, more than 107 cartridges of different calibers, and obtained the dismantling of four laboratories for the production of illicit substances, which become a hard blow to the Organized Armed Groups who commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean.
More than 522 kilograms of illegal fishing, 36 wildlife animals, about 302 cubic metres of wood and 13 units of machinery used for illicit activities have been found under the Artemisa Plan.
In the same way, in the frame of the unarmed effort, the Naval Institution logistically supported the institutions and foundations for five health activities that benefited more than 24,500 people, providing care in general medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, psychology, among others; as well as recreational activities, wellbeing and the distribution of more than 650 units of humanitarian aid, 400,000 liters of drinking water, 1,500 units of Bienestarina (food supplement), vaccination activities, Entrepreneurship meetings and the transport of more than 40 tons of agricultural products.
The Colombian Navy with its more than 4,600 men and women reaffirms its commitment to work for the security of the region, providing humanitarian assistance and well-being to the communities of the Colombian Caribbean.
