Surrounded by faces that reflected joy and satisfaction, men and women of the Colombian Navy were received, in the Caño de Oro sector in the department of Bolívar to conduct Christmas celebrations for the community, who during 2019 has worked in a coordinated manner with the Naval Institution in the construction of a prosperous region.
In this way, since early morning the children accompanied by parents and adults, participated in the recreational activities, carried out in coordination with the staff of the National Police of Children and Adolescents, to teach principles and values through Entertaining games and group dynamics.
In the same way, during the activity the planting of more than 300 fruit and timber trees was carried out, promoting in the new generations the culture of preservation of the environment; later about 500 presents were given to start the best time of the year.
This significant effort was made possible by the successful work coordinated and conducted by the Colombian Navy with the Caribbean Surface Flotilla and the Cartagena Coast Guard Station, the Professional Officers of the Naval Reserve of Cartagena, the Fishing Club and the Casa de Juan Foundation.
During the year, the Colombian Navy through the Caribbean Naval Force has carried out about 40 Development Support Activities, promoting the well-being of the inhabitants of the Colombian Caribbean.
