During the arrests it was in the same way possible to find important war material.
In a coordinated and inter-institutional operation conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, in the department of Bolívar, it was possible to arrest three alleged members of the Nicolás Antonio Urango Reyes substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
These are alias Víctor or Caballo, alias J.J or Alfa and alias La Doña, who apparently would be responsible for the criminal revenues for this outlaw group, product of extortion and drug trafficking.
The individuals were arrested during search procedures and a raid on a house, in the village of Tacamochito, municipality of Córdoba - Bolívar, by troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar of the Colombian Navy and troops of the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar of the National Police, who during the search of the place found a rifle, a 9 mm pistol, a 38 mm caliber revolver, a shotgun, 133 cartridges of different caliber, three magazines, a multipurpose pixelated vest and four units of communication equipment.
Alias Víctor or Caballo, apparently was the ringleader in Carmen de Bolívar and would have had a criminal experience of approximately six years in this structure. In the same way, he would be responsible for managing the criminal income of the Nicolás Antonio Urango Reyes substructure, the product of extortion and drug trafficking, and he would be in charge of coordinating the procurement and transportation of war materiel for the GAO Clan del Golfo in the Montes de María. It is presumed that this individual was collecting approximately 100 million pesos as a result of criminal income for this illegal group.
According to information, alias J.J would serve as alias Víctor's bodyguard, while alias La Doña would be in charge of hiding war material and supplying food to the members of this armed organization.
Through these arrests, significant damage to this substructure was possible, contributing to the decrease in crimes that disturb the tranquility of the inhabitants. The arrested personnel and the material were put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 7 of Cartagena - Bolívar, to continue with their judicial process.
The operations of the Colombian Navy against this Organized Armed Group in this region of the country are powerful. So far this year, 332 alleged members of the GAO Clan del Golfo have been arrested in the department of Bolívar.
