More than 100 families benefited from Comprehensive Action Activities of Support.
This activity was possible thanks to the commitment of the crew of the coast Guard Station of Santa Marta with the support of Professional Officers of the Naval Reserve of Barranquilla in coordination with the representatives of the Community action Board of the community of Buritaca, who handed clothing, school kits, personal hygiene and biosecurity for the inhabitants of the sector benefiting 100 low-income families.
The humanitarian aid was distributed under biosecurity measures adopted by the crew, in order to prevent the contagion and spread of the COVID-19 virus, protecting the members of the community and the staff of organizers.
With this activity, the Naval Institution helped to mitigate some of the basic needs of vulnerable families, who have been adversely hit in their economic activity because of the pandemic. This type of activity seeks to contribute to the comprehensive development of children, ratifying the commitment of the Colombian Navy to support social activities that favor the most vulnerable inhabitants of the region.
