Young people ranging from 16 to 17 years of age, decided to voluntarily surrender to the troops of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army.
At a time when the soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion No.18, of the Zeus Consolidation and Stabilization Military Operations Command, of the Sixth Brigade, patrolled in the village of Herrera, municipality of Rioblanco, three minors approached the troop expressing the will to leave the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Ismael Ruiz front, of the Central General Staff.
The three young people reported that they were from Cauca and that they were tired of the bad life they were facing, so they decided to flee this residual GAO and ask for support of the soldiers who were in the area, who immediately provided them with the necessary support to safeguard their lives. That is why they were taken to the military base, so that with the support of the Air Combat Command No.4, were taken of the site, and put into custody of the authorities, in this case, the Ombudsman's Office and the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing - ICBF, who work to raise their security and the restoration of their rights.
