Under controlled conditions, 7 explosive devices and 6 means of launching, near the hamlet La Holanda, municipality of Tame, were neutralized by our troops in protection of civilian life.
In the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, in the first phase, through stability operations, the soldiers found and neutralized two means of launching and an explosive device, elements that were found by troops next to the road that connects the hamlet La Holanda with the sector known as Finca Versalles, which represents a danger for people who transit through the area. Thanks to the quick operation of the troops, any damage to the life and good physical condition of this community was prevented.
Additionally, in the second phase of the operation, the troops found and deactivated three other means of launching and seven explosive devices, which were an imminent threat to the safety of the inhabitants of the area. Once again, the timely and precise intervention of the troops led to prevent any harm or negative consequences for the civilians.
It is important to highlight that these operations to neutralize terrorist operations are fundamental to promote the tranquility and well-being of the inhabitants in the department of Arauca, thus protecting the life and good physical condition of the inhabitants. In the same way, it is once again evident how the ELN organized armed groups and the 10th and 28th Structures of the FARC dissidents continue to violate human rights and violate international humanitarian law, since they use these illicit means and methods of war.
Colombian National Army continues to work tirelessly to preserve security in the region and protect civilians from any threat that may disturb peace and well-being.
