700 units of indugel explosive, more than 8,000 ammunition units, 5 rifles, as well as material of military accessories, were found by troops of the Sixteenth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in what would be a logistics and explosives collection center of Substructure 28 in Casanare. Simultaneously, alias Mecánico, the logistical ringleader of this armed structure, was arrested in the urban area of the municipality of Paz de Ariporo.
Soldiers of the Guías del Casanare Mechanized Cavalry Group, or the Sixteenth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Elite Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the National Police, with the support of the Casanare Air Group of the Colombian Air Force, and in an inter-institutional manner with the Attorney General's Office, dismantle in Casanare what would be the logistics collection center of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Substructure 28.
The first incident was reported in a rural area of the municipality of Támara, Casanare, where 700 indugel explosive rods were found by troops, with which the GAO-r could manufacture 707 anti-personnel mines, thus troops save up to 3,500 lives.
With this finding by the Colombian National Army, it would be preventing this material from being used by the GAO-r to equip devices and vehicles with explosives, anti-personnel mines, means of launching preventing damage to the critical constructions of the State.
In the same way, it would be preventing this material from being used to condition 236 explosive devices, 12 cylinders, 42 traps made with common objects and improvised munitions for drones.
In terms of construction, this neutralization of Colombian National Army would prevent Substructure 28 from causing possible attacks on four roads, 8 energy towers, 236 petroleum pipelines and a bridge with this amount of explosives.
In addition, more than 8,000 ammunition units of different calibers intended to equip approximately 40 men of this illicit structure were found by troops, as well as 5 rifles with their magazines, with which they would be intimidating the inhabitants of the north of Casanare.
Simultaneously, in compliance with a judicial search warrant in the urban area of the municipality of Paz de Ariporo, alias Mecánico, alleged logistical and explosive ringleader, in charge of the logistics collection center in Casanare, as well as the transport, reception and shipment of war materiel, military accessories, explosives and food for the members of Substructure 28 and Structure 10 of the GAO-r, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
Alias Mecánico would be the right-hand man of alias Antonio Medina, head of Substructure 28, who would in the same way be acting as the coordinator of meetings with the livestock and farmer productive groups of the north of the department to demand money from extortions.
In the raid, more than 100 black military accessories and shirts with prints of the faces of alias Alexa and alias Tito, killed during operations in the departments of Arauca and Casanare, were in the same way found; 50 pack belts , 50 belts, supplies to condition explosive devices, ammunition, camouflage and cell phones.
Both alias Mecánico and all the material found were put into custody of the authority, and the explosives were put under the management of technical experts from Colombian National Army for their controlled destruction.
