Colombian Military Forces strengthen cooperative relationships with Mexican Military Forces
In the Federal District of Mexico, the 'V Meeting of Staffs” made by the Secretary of National Defense and the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces was held from July 29 to August 2, 2019, with the Participation of the Chiefs of Staff and Second Commanders of the National Army and the Colombian Air Force and representatives of the Secretary of National Defense - SEDENA of the United States of Mexico, with the purpose of continuing to strengthen relationships between Colombia and Mexico.
Major General Jorge Tadeo Borbón Fernández, second commander and Chief of Staff of the Colombian Air Force represented the Institution in this international environment. This meeting worked on the identification of new opportunities for cooperation between the Military Forces of both countries, aimed at strengthen security and defense conditions in the region and counteract transnational crime in Central America, South America and North America.
