Colombian Air Force trains international students in course of Technical Operator of Special Equipment
At the Helicopter School for the Military Forces, in the Air Combat Command No.4 in Melgar, Tolima, the Technical Operator of Special Equipment (TER) course was completed for eight Non-Commissioned Officers from different Latin American countries such as Paraguay, El Salvador and Honduras, who were trained by the staff of the Unit for about 15 days.
These personnel were trained in Resources that enable them to use the rescue crane, bambi bucket, rescue rope, among other maneuvers conducted in military helicopters that are executed in emergency situations to save the lives of those who need it most and preserve the environment.
After more than a year after the arrival of the pandemic caused by COVID 19, which imposed many restrictions, including travel to and from other countries, which prevented international students from being trained in the facilities of CACOM 4 until now. Now it is possible thanks to the vaccination process conducted in the world, so it was possible to continue with the training, as regularly carried out in the Unit.
With all the biosecurity protocols and high quality standards, the EHFAA trained these students with the firm objective of fulfilling the institutional mission that transcends nations: Fly, Train and Fight to Win.
