The Basic School of Remotely Manned Aircraft (EBART in Spanish) conducted the third Course of Tactical Drones, which is taught to people from different specialties of the Colombian Air Force, who will use these equipment for security missions, intelligence, surveillance, monitoring and even accompaniment to civilians’ activities. This course lasted 59 academic hours, 14 hours of simulator and 12 hours of flight practice, with which 17 students acquired the necessary knowledge for its operation.
The closure was led by Lieutenant Colonel Francisco Cortés, director of the Basic School of Remotely Manned Aircraft, who praised the importance of this training in the fulfillment of the mission, highlighting the Second Technician Julián Murillo, who occupied the first position of the course. In the same way the oldest Officer addressed a few words to the Unit thanking for this learning opportunity.
Three instructors from different units were in charge of the course and for the first time could share their knowledge in previous trainings, giving classes on the system, flight operations, emergency procedures, simulator, night missions, search and rescue training, which will be of great value for these students, who now have this ability to fulfill the mission of the Colombian Air Force.
