Within the framework of a cooperation agreement conducted by the Military Forces, the Colombian Air Force received four Huey II type helicopters out of 13 that will be received destined for the Air Combat Command No.4 (CACOM 4) in order to carry out air rescue and rescue operations in support of the country's development.
This is how, through a significant protocol act, CACOM 4 now have an initial team of four HUEY II helicopters on loan by the National Police, which will continue to play a fundamental and strategic role to safeguard the life and good physical condition of people through rescue operations, aeromedical evacuations and environmental protection with fire extinguishing missions, thus reaching the most remote places throughout the national territory.
The crews of these multifunctional aircraft will assume the responsibility of proudly flying a helicopter that is vital to the institutional mission, enhancing support to the most vulnerable communities that require help in any eventuality.
